Acreage here is about privacy and sky. The pool can be a little further from the house if that is how you live, or it can be the fourth wall of a covered outdoor kitchen. We walk the site before we talk shape.
Rock, cedar, and oak will tell you where not to dig. We would rather keep a significant tree and shift the water than clear a perfect rectangle. Hill Country lots look better when they still look like Hill Country.
